About AEDT
AEDT started in 2018 with Jane and Margot the Border Terrier. Jane has been studying and working with dogs since 2015, with special interest in reactivity in dogs.
AEDT’s mission is for you and your dog to build a strong, happy, trusting relationship through considered and kind training, and listening to what your individual dog is communicating to you.
We advocate science based dog training, as this focuses on teaching your dog to be successful and make the right choices. We will coach you to understand what your dog is communicating to you via their behaviour and how to build new and, if needed, more appropriate behaviours. To reach this goal, we will utilise positive reinforcement as the basis of your relationship with your dog.
Positive reinforcement coaching is shown in Behavioural Science to be the most effective and long-lasting way of creating new habits.
Our promise to you and your dog is to be committed to coaching you both in a way that will develop a positive relationship. We pledge to equip you with skills to communicate with your dog in the most efficient and effective way. We welcome all questions around our methods.

1-2-1 sessions built and tailored to your specfic needs, from puppy training to loose-lead walking to behavioural issues such as reactivity.
From the comfort of your own home
With the pandemic, more and more clients have opted for online training.
This works very effectively, and works especially well for sensitive dogs that finds changes to their environment upsetting, allowing them to learn in the safety of their own home without the intrusion of me as a stranger.
I have also been able help dogs and their people further afield than Aberdeenshire. Many clients are based nationwide and even some in Europe.
All you need is a device with a camera connected to the internet......easy as that!

Our training together will help your learn skills that enable you and your dog to develop a very personal and unique relationship, to travel off on a journey together into the world of scent, communication, health and understanding.
I will provide you with knowledge and resources that help you along your way.
